Who is Familial for?
Familial is designed for families who want to stay connected across generations, with a simple experience for older loved ones and a place for family members to share everyday moments.
Does my loved one need to be good with technology?
The experience for older family members focuses on large, clear actions: check in, open a moment, and listen. A family member can help with the initial device pairing.
Who can see our family moments?
Moments are shared within your family according to their sharing settings. A private moment is intended for its sender and the paired recipient. Keep family invitations and device pairing codes private.
Is location sharing required?
Location access is optional. Check-ins can be sent without a location. When enabled, a location can be attached to a check-in and shared with the family. Device permissions can be changed in Settings.
Is Familial an emergency service?
No. Familial helps families connect, but it is not a medical device, monitoring service, or emergency response service. Check-ins and notifications depend on devices and connectivity. In an emergency, contact local emergency services directly.
